The Power Juicer

In celebration of my birthday year, my dear friend, Michelle, gave me a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer.  There is a caveat.  I can’t recall how long my friend had this item or if she bought it or if it was given to her as a wedding gift (I am having a senior moment), but I do know that she had it for a long time and she never used it.  When she told me that, I was amazed.  I never can understand why people buy things (in this case I don’t remember if she bought it) and never use it.  In my mind, cooking is only enjoyable when you have the right tools to use.  A power juicer is not necessary but….It is a healthy tool to have for your family.  It is especially useful if you have family members who are not too fond of vegetables.  Mixing fruit with vegetable is tasty and healthy; kids would like it to.
As you can imagine, I have been juicing this weekend and loving it.  I made fresh orange juice–no added sugar.  It was sooooooooooooooo tasty and so fresh!!!!  It was like the feeling I get when I bake bread.  I am always in awe because I did it!!  It came out successful and it tasted good.  Go figure!  So be it with the juicing. If you were to invest in a juicer (or find someone who has one but doesn’t use it), you will understand how good it tastes to drink fresh orange juice.  You could have fresh orange juice everyday!  There are no added sugar or artificial flavorings; just oranges.  Drinking fresh juice is like eating an orange.  That is all it is.  And with Weight Watchers, fruits and vegetables are free.  Try it.  You will like it and your family will to!
